LaTeX Error: File `subscript.sty' not found.

Dear Lyx users,

I am using Lyx 2.0 under Windows Vista to update a course reader which I wrote in version 1.6. I have used sub- and superscripts outside of the Math environment. When I want to make a PDF, Lyx comes back with the error “! LaTeX Error: File `subscript.sty' not found.” I have updated MikTeX and also tried to copy the file “subscript.sty” in the TeX directory, reconfigured Lyx, but without results.

Any clues?

Someone who uses MikTeX can probably help here. You should be able to
install subscript.sty through the package manager. If you do it
manually, you need (a) to copy it to the right sort of folder and (b)
then to tell MikTeX to update the TeX database.

Hi Richard. I'm new to using LyX on Windows Vista, and from
what I've seen of MiKTeX, it can be configured to
automatically install any missing TeX packages on-the-fly.

For example, the LaTeX directive

would trigger the installer, if the memoir package is not
already installed.

It might need to be set in MikTeX's options for it to
work.
