I'm running Lyx 2.1 and trying to convert tex-file to lyx-file. Follow the standard pass: file> import>Latex(plain); however am getting an error message:
An error occurred while running tex2lyx-f"root1.tex""root1.lyx"
What should I do?

What should I do?

If you can run LyX from a terminal, you will likely get more error
messages. Alternatively, send the file to me, and I'll try it.

I work on LyX 2.1.1 Linux-Xubuntu 14.04.
