how to change font size for math on screen

Hello,

I tried to find the place in LyX where I can change the size of the formulas when the cursor is not there.
When I type them they have the right size, but later when leaving the maths area
they fall back to a smaller size. I was able to change the color (in the look&feel section) but not the font size.

If that is possible at all, can anyone give me a pointer?

Very thankful as always!
Best regards,

- helmut

The formula font size seems to be too small compared to the font size of
the text.

In the Look&Feel Window I could not find anything to change that (only
the color or/and font size of the text).

thanks for your help,

Best regards,

- helmut

Seems like you have the "instant preview" feature on. Disabling it
would keep the size as it is when you enter the formula.

You might also try to find some description of configuratin the size in
the instant preview, if you insist on this feature.

I don't understand. Do you have instant preview enabled (menu Tools -> Preferences-> Look & feel->
Graphics)?
If so, either turn it off or set it to "no math", or add this line to the file "lyxrc.dist" that you
find in LyX's installation folder:

\preview_scale_factor "1.0"

The default size is 0.9. This has often been reported as too small therefore the alternative Windows
installer sets it automatically to 1.0.

Thanks a lot for you help. This was exactly what I needed.
As always the LyX community is fast and powerful. I think this makes the
wonderful piece of software even better.

Thanks again.
