not possible without ERT. lyx 2.0 will support it.

You have two choices:

- use the LaTeX-package "soul" and then the TeX-code command "\st{your text}
- use the package "ulem" and then the TeX-code command "\sout{your text}"

Attached is an example LyX file. It is in German but you will understand
it anyway as you only need to understand the examples in the tables.

Great example file!

Uwe, is there a way to sort-of-blur the cell-contents in a table so they
are not any more readable? Something like when you want to hide away
some results?

Highlight the text in the cell and set its color to white or gray. The
color table business of LyX is explained in detail in the
EmbeddedObjects manual. I describe there also how to define your own color.
